1. Who We Are
The Tipster ("we", "us", "our") operates thetipsteredge.com, a sports analysis and information platform. For the purposes of UK GDPR, we are the data controller for personal information collected through this website.

We do not collect IP addresses beyond what is automatically logged by our infrastructure providers, and we do not use tracking pixels or behavioural advertising.

- Sending daily tip emails and Bet of the Day alerts (if opted in)

- Improving the accuracy and relevance of our predictions
We will never sell your personal data to third parties.

5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data will be removed within 30 days. Anonymised tip and results data may be retained indefinitely for analytical purposes — the record of published tips and their outcomes names no person.
The send log described above is the exception worth stating plainly: it is not currently deleted on a schedule, and deleting your account does not by itself remove it. If you ask us to erase your data we will remove your entries from it along with everything else — email support@thetipsteredge.com and we will confirm when it is done.
6. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Rectification — correct inaccurate data
- Erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Withdraw consent — unsubscribe from emails at any time

7. Cookies
We use only essential and functional cookies — essential ones for authentication and session management, and functional ones that remember preferences such as your chosen odds format. We use no advertising, tracking or analytics cookies. See our Cookie Policy for the full list.
8. Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe and we never see or store card details.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated by email to registered users. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.
